Caleb
 “Aren’t your parents kinda… homophobic?” I question, my hand circulating awkwardly at him.
“Yea, but… I won’t tell them we’re… together?” He says ‘together’ in a questionable way, like he wasn’t sure. I wasn’t just gonna forgive him for these past few weeks, he still was an asshole that made me feel like shit.
But…
He was getting his shit together, and that’s what counted. Hmm, mostly.
“Won’t it be awkward for us to just… show up randomly. Your parents don’t even know us.” Milo states, still countering Damien’s idea of us going with him.
“Just come, you can… I don’t know, stay in the car. I just want you guys to come with me, I… miss you.”
My face reddened, the way he said it made my heart hammer against my chest. It was full of desperation, longing, and love. He meant it. He really did miss us.
And I missed him too
“Me too.” I say, smiling wide as a banana smile.
“Hmm, and who’s fault is that?” Milo raised a brow, not fazed by Damien’s sweet talking. Damien slightly frowned before rolling his eyes, grabbing Milo by the hand and dragging him out. Chuckling at the two, I follow closely behind them.
Damien somehow, gently but harshing shoved Milo in the driver’s seat of the car, shutting it and locking it. Fully aware that Milo could easily unlock it and leave, but he didn’t, he just simply huffed and popped his keys in his ignition. I hopped in the back, seeing th Damien was already walking to the other side of the car.
“I hate you.” Milo muttered with a small smile.
“I love you too.” Damien said as he sat in the passenger seat, shutting the door.
~~~
  “Just sit in the car, ok? I’ll be out soon.” Damien warned, quickly kissing us both on our forehead before getting out of the car and walking into the hospital.
“That was unexpected.” I say with a tint of blush covering my cheeks.
“You don’t blush like that when I kiss you.” He turns around in the driver seat, his eyes slightly narrowed at me.
“Well, last I checked I’ve kissed you several times within these past few weeks.” I say with a small laugh at his jealousy.
“So my kisses aren’t special?” His brow raised as his hand made his way to my chin and pulled me forward to him, expecting him to kiss me I closed my eyes, but a finger was pressed to my lips. I opened my eyes, cheesed that his lips hadn’t touched me yet.
“Depending, how special can you make them feel.”
I smirked at him, I heard the car lock before he crawled over the seat and sat in my lap.
“I can make them feel so special on your skin.”
My hands sat on his hips, gently drawing circles along his skin with my thumb. “Then make me feel so special my love.” I say again his lips, mine still not touching him.
He traced a heart on my neck, “Hmm, no. Teasing you is fun though.” He smirked.
“I hate you.” I huffed with an eye roll.
“I love you too.” He pecks my lips, turning around in my lap, his back laying against me as he takes his phone out. My arm wraps around his waist, and my head rests on his shoulder.
“Sure you do.”
~~~
  It’s been hours, Milo had fallen asleep on my lap because his phone went dead. My phone was dead as well, so if either of us were in any type of danger, we’d be fucked.
Had he dozed off in the hospital?
I picked up Milo’s limp body, laying it along the seat as I got out the car, quietly shutting the door so he wouldn’t wake up. I zip up my coat as I walk through the snow and into the hospital.
Walking up to the front desk I ask, “May I see Mr and Mrs Hudson?”
“Who are you to them?” The lady looks up at me with a raised eyebrow.
“Son.”
“They’re in room 36.” She points down the hallway, I nod, thanking her before going down the hall. I don’t walk in, knowing it isn’t my place to invade their family time.
Luckily the door is cracked open, so I am able to peek inside to see if they had dozed off. Which, they hadn’t. Everyone in the was wide awake, chatting.
I don’t want to interrupt them, I’ll leave.
As I turn around, I immediately bump into someone, which causes me to fall into the room full of Hudson.
Oh shit
They stare at me with confusion. Well, Damien. His eyes immediately shot open as his posture fixed.
“Sorry, I was kinda pushed in here—”
“Is that Damien’s coat I ?” I hear the lady ask as she shifts, glaring at me suspiciously. I glanced over at Damien who was sweating bullets. Why did I come here, I should have just stayed in the car and finished my nap.
“N—No Mrs Hudson. I’m just here to um… check up on you.” My voice cracked at the end, and I wanted to end my life right here and now. I suck at lying. Why do I suck at lying. I wish I didn’t suck at lying so damn much.
She looked over at her husband, than at Damien. Who seemed to be stressing. I came in here wearing his coat, and now they are suspicious. I’m just putting Damien at risk by being here.
I cleared my voice, “No Mr and Mrs Hudson, I’m just a nurse who came in here to check on you guys. The only reason why I’m not in my outfit, is because I came in late. And this coat is mine, not that young man’s.”
Holy shit, that might be the most convincing lie I’ve told in my life.
“But since you guys seem ok, I’ll go get changed right away.”
“And I need you to point me to the restroom.” Damien stood up from the chair walking over to me. With a nod I guided him out. Once the door closed I let out the large breath I had been holding in.
“Damien I am so sorry that I came— It had been hours and I wanted to check on you to see if you had fallen asleep. When I realized you were ok I tried to leave but I bumped into someone and I stumbled into the room.”
“It’s fine, but next time text me when you’re coming inside. I nearly had a heart attack when they asked if that was my coat.”
“Me and Milo’s phones are dead.”
“Where is Milo?”
“In the car asleep, he’s probably awake by now since he’s a light sleeper. ” I take a step in the opposite direction, “I’ll let you have your family time.”
Before I could walk off, he grabbed me by the sleeve of the coat and pulled me back to him. My face accidentally being mere inches away from his. He looks around before placing a kiss on the corner of my mouth.
“Don’t leave yet. I’m coming with you.”
“No, you need to be with your family Damien. You’ve literally been grieving over them for weeks.”
And not in a good or healthy way either
“I know, but I’ve been here for four or five hours. It’s hard to keep up a conversation with them for that long. My Uncle left two hours ago, and he’s always the life of the conversations. Plus…” He grabs my hand, kissing the back of my palm, “I wanna be with my boyfriends right now.”
I blush at the loving gesture, but I don’t give into his charisma, pulling my hand away. “Hm, you still have to make up for how you treated Me and Milo these past weeks, which I do still hate you for.”
“I know, and I’m sorry for how I acted. It was stupid and unforgiving. But I promise to treat you guys better, so much better.” He pulled me in by my waist, his grip tight around me. “If I ever act like that towards you guys again… break up with me.”
“We’ll make sure It never gets to that point again.” A loving smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I stared up at him. Placing a deep and slow kiss on his lips. He leaned into me, passionately kissing me back.
He gently pulled away, his eyes looked at me with nothing but pure love, “I can’t wait to marry you guys one day.”
My smile widened, before recalling a memory,
“You remember what I said that day when you asked me to tell you something romantic in Spanish?”
“Kinda, not really, why?”
“Espero casarme con ustedes algún dÃa. In translation I said, I hope to marry you guys one day.” I said with probably the most reddest face in history.
“You will.”
“But throuple marriges are illegal.”
“A little rule breaking never hurt anyone.”
“Damien, I’m not trying to go to jail.” I frowned at him and his stupid smirk.
“I’m kidding, but in Utah actually, throuples can be married.” He explained, resting his forehead on mine.
“That’s several hours away and a lot of money. Are you really going to go through all that just—”
“—to marry you two? Absolutely. I wouldn’t think twice if it meant that I can wake up and call you my husband. Caleb Hudson and Milo Hudson, hmm, it has a nice ring don’t it?”
After a while of sweet banter, he said his goodbye’s to his parents. Leaving the hospital we make it back to the car where Milo is still comfortably sleeping along the back seats. His body slightly curled like a baby and his mouth gently agap open.
I get into the passenger seat and Damien gets in the driver’s seat. We admire our sleeping boy as the car warms up.
“If it were for him we wouldn’t even be here.” I mutter with a smile. “He’s really done so much for us.”
“He really has.” Damien adds with a content and loving sigh.
“How can we make it up to him?” I ask, my gaze moving from Milo to Damien. A small sigh escaping me. He’s actually done so much. From protecting me, standing up for me, helping me with my with my work, taking his time and patience to love me. Even back when we were teenagers at camp he protect me, he made a plan for me to live even though he didn’t have one for himself.
He risked his life for me, for us countless of time.
How can we ever repay him back?
“I don’t know. But I’m sure we’ll find a way one day.”
